These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Dekho learning mobile application (the "App"), operated by Dekho Media ("we", "us", "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. By using the App, you confirm that you meet these requirements and are legally capable of entering into these Terms.
2. Your Account
- You register using your mobile number and OTP verification.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping access to your phone/number secure.
- You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate others or create accounts fraudulently.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Purchases & Billing
- Some content is free (ad-supported). Premium lessons can be unlocked with a one-time Premium Lifetime purchase (currently ₹299, or the price shown at the time of purchase), which unlocks all premium lessons for the lifetime of the service — no recurring charges.
- Topic Packs are one-time purchases that unlock specific lessons permanently and do not auto-renew.
- All one-time purchases are charged once — there is no auto-renewal on them. Legacy subscriptions: if you purchased an older auto-renewing plan in a previous version of the App, you can stop it anytime from the AutoPay / Mandates section of your UPI app or by emailing us.
- Payments are processed securely by a trusted, RBI-compliant payment gateway; refunds are subject to our Refund & Cancellation Policy. We generally do not provide refunds for amounts already charged, except where required by law.
- Prices and plans may change; the price shown in the App at the time of purchase always applies.
4. License to Use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and stream lessons for your own private, non-commercial learning. You may not:
- Copy, download, record, screen-capture, redistribute, sell, or publicly display any content;
- Reverse-engineer, hack, or attempt to bypass security, paywalls, or access controls;
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools, or share your account credentials;
- Upload or transmit unlawful, infringing, or harmful material.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, including lessons, titles, logos, designs, and the "Dekho" brand and "Dekho Original" shows, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. No rights are granted except the limited license above.
6. Educational Content Disclaimer
Government information: Dekho is a private educational app operated by Dekho Media. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representing any government entity, and we do not provide or facilitate any government services. Videos about government-related processes (e.g., Ayushman card, driving licence, certificates) are for general educational purposes only; always use the official portals for actual applications and services — e.g., india.gov.in, pmjay.gov.in, parivahan.gov.in, uidai.gov.in.
- All lessons are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. They are not professional financial, investment, legal, medical, tax, or career advice.
- Always do your own research and consult a qualified professional before making important financial, legal, health, or other decisions. You are solely responsible for actions you take based on the content.
- We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee that all content is complete, current, or error-free. We may add, modify, or remove content at any time without notice.
7. Advertisements
Free (non-subscribed) users may see advertisements. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or external websites they link to.
8. Account Deletion & Termination
- You may delete your account anytime via Settings → Delete Account.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the App, or engage in fraud or piracy. On termination, your license ends immediately.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure service.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any losses arising from decisions you make based on the content. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, India.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
